 I'm still not sure where my times goes, but here is a glimpse of my July in photos:

Twp taggies for a friend's twin granddaughters

My lovely niece, India, arrived from Australia, and was immediately put to work helping Niki and George pack up their flat - they exchanged contracts at 3pm on Thursday and needed to move at noon on Friday - who needs more than 21 hours notice eh?

A lovely session with the Chertsey team, Show and Tell showcased some quilt as you go hexies

and we made positive and negative applique

India had a play with Lizzie and made an ID handle wrap for her backpack handle (she's off to 10 countries before coming back late September)

I made a ginger to celebrate the anniversary of the Moon Landing

And cross stitched a new needle case from a kit gifted by the lovely Vicki

And a ginger for national beer lover's day

and read a book day

Oh and two to celebrate the lionesses football win!

Last time I spring cleaned the dolls house was, shockingly, 2016!!!

So I put that right

And finally I made gingers for our GodDaughter's upcoming wedding - she asked for one for each person in the main wedding party.  Happy to oblige!

2021 Week 52

Happy New Year to all

I must have been a good girl in 2021 as I was very spoiled at Christmas:

My little gang of Ginger Fans in the villages outdid themselves!  Look at the awesome Gingers I received from them!!!!

These awesome goodies from Jim, Plum, Jackie, Niki and Kathy: things made for me and things to make!  Thank you all so much!!!!

And this advent calendar stocking from Sharon (must take a pic of the finished version)

In other news: Niki and I helped with Meals on Wheels on Christmas Day - and she got cuddles with Monty and that made her day!

Lisa was trying to finish Niki's Christmas pressie: a heavy (t-shirt yarn) crochet blanket but the cats had other ideas!

(Niki loves it !)

And so does Thor!!!

Thanks to Alice I have now sussed crochet "magic circles" and have started on squares for a blanket using up oddments from my previous blanket

And I made a decision about my not-enough-wool-to-make-a-big-shawl-but-not-enough-money-to-buy-more-skeins problem. I overlapped the ends and stitched them in place so I have a cowl/scarf and I might have ordered some variegated wool and a pattern to make a big multicoloured shawl at far less cost than even the skein I bought so far of the original plan!!!

Wool at the Weekend

I keep meaning to link with Janine's Wool on Sundays posts.  She is really good at knitting and crochet, and doll making (have you seen Grandma Alice?)

But I have started to get the hang of crochet (well, the one stitch that I have been taught) and I have now finished a baby blanket

And have started on a scarf, AND have remembered to post pictures on a Sunday!!! Yay!!!

I have also finished an I-Spy quilt started in December.

This gorgeous boy was born to a second cousin of mine in Norway back before Christmas, but mum and dad have only just now decided on a name!

So it was only this weekend that I could embroider his name!  The binding won't take too long to finish then I can post i
