April 2026

 Welcome to my April furtle

My orange car was replaced by a seafoam green car: our first brand new car, and our first all electric car: quite a learning curve but I think we are getting the hang of it!

I bought this fabric when I visited Jackie: I love it but I wasn't concentrating and bought jersey rather than patchwork cotton.

It made a lovely sun hat for Jack!

I did some customer embroidery

and made some Gingers: Annual different limb day

And annual Puffin day 😂

The collection of giant pin cushions has grown

And a friend has become a grandma again

Gorgeous munchkin is a happy boy: this was taken at 5 months

This EPP patchwork has been under construction for a few years, but I've now started the plan to finish it

An evening class at Chertsey went well: kawandi as applique on tote bags

Not much else this month

Keep safe and stay happy

2024 July

Welcome to my July in photos: also known as The Wedding Month

I didn't have much to make for Niki's wedding, so I could make fun things.  I made 50m of white bunting (that I never got a photo of!)

I made sashes for the bridesmaids as they weren't wearing traditional bridesmaid dresses

So I could make Gingers for them too!!!!

I made sashes for the Bride and Groom . . .

. . .  for the same reason

"Most" of them wore their sashes 😂

I made a Guest Book by sectioning cotton lawn into 7" squares and providing fabric pens

And I finished the binding while watching Dirty Dancing - a perfect combo!

I think most people signed it

Chertsey Museum saw us making felt cottage pin cushions, and Peter Rabbit came in for Show and Tell from last month

A few photos from the wedding: I resisted the temptation to show you ALL of them!

The following week I booked myself in for a few classes at Gerrard's Cross Summer School - I can thoroughly recommend it if you are local.  I did needle felting . . .

. . . Silver Clay jewellery . . .

. . . and then willow weaving (prizes will be offered for anyone who can correctly guess what the middle one is!)

The Coffee Morning / Stitch and Crafty Church regulars decorated the hall for the borough's Gardens in Bloom

And then at the end of the month I had a playdate with our youngest Great Niece: in 24 hours we did (deep breath) lots of needle felting, kit sewing, colouring, bag making, weaving, waffle making, embroidery design on the computer and stitching a cat in a box (which was too shy to have a pic taken!)

I was exhausted but looking forward to her coming again!!!

2023 October

So we now wave goodbye to October: I cant believe how quickly this year is going!

At the beginning of the month the Chertsey Museum group did some needle felting, but I only got a few photos

Jackie came over for a quick visit: we went to the Knitting & Stitching show, and managed to get a bit of sewing done: vinyl pouches,

and little zipped bags.

I got some puffin fabric at K&S S, and had a play with some self-cover buttons

Towards the end of the month Mum, Niki and I had 24 hours in Norway, sadly for my uncle's funeral.  It was a lovely service, and we re-connected with family we haven't seen for ages - we also saw snow!

I managed a few finishes sewing in front of the TV: this EPP hug finally got a binding

These tapestries (done by mum) got changed into zippy pouches

and this shirt quilt got finished and delivered to a customer
